Are you still paying us by cheque? Important information!
We would like to let you know of an important change in the way we accept payments.
Effective 1st May 2020, we will no longer be accepting cheques as a payment option.
This small green step forms part of our obligation to reduce Cowans environmental impact, in line with our Blue Marble Initiative. Click here for more information.
Our reasons for this change are as follows:
- Electronic is Green. With the importance of environmental responsibility within businesses more visible than ever, electronic payments are the most eco-friendly with no paper wastage or carbon footprint.
- Cheques are slow. It takes you time to write and post a cheque, and time for us to bank it.
- Cheques can be vulnerable. Cheques can go astray or simply get lost in the mail, leaving you with an unpaid bill.
- Cheques are harder to track. When you pay by cheque, your balance only updates when the cheque is cashed, making it harder to keep track.
We encourage you to pay us by electronic payment methods (e.g. BACS, Fast Pay, etc) quoting your account number.
Paying electronically allows you to track your cash flow via your online banking, without waiting for a cheque to clear. Electronic payments are fast, secure and convenient. They help you save time and money.
